Further details on the 36th Asian Racing Conference, Mumbai, January 2016

The 36th Asian Racing Conference (ARC) is being held in Mumbai, India, from January 24th to 29th, 2016, commencing with a race day at Mahalakshmi Race course of the Royal Western India Turf Club. Ltd, featuring the Grade 1 Villloo Poonawalla Indian Oaks, an Indian Classic for four-year-olds.

On Monday, January 25th, Bureau Meetings are scheduled including the Asian Racing Committee Meeting, International Stewards Conference, Asian-African Tote Association Meeting and ARF Management Committee meetings.

The Business Sessions are held from Tuesday, January 26th to Thursday, January 28th.

There are two sessions on vital wagering topics with the first on Tuesday, The Wagering Landscape.

The workshop will cover topics External forces and industry strategies; Racing’s revenue model in a global wagering market; 2020: The future of betting on racing and the Distribution of Racing content by wagering operators.

The second workshop is on Thursday, The Rising Tide of Illegal Gambling.

The ‘Scale of the problem’ will open the workshop followed by Explaining the rise and scale of Asian Betting; Exchange and ‘Price streaming’ and Law enforcement agencies and illegal gambling.

These workshops are two of ten from Tuesday to Thursday covering vital topics for Asian Racing Federation countries.

Festivities include a social evening at the Royal Western India Turf Club with the venue decked out as a carnival set with the evening a cultural night of numerous performances.

Sightseeing for accompanying persons within the city of Mumbai, will be arranged on January 26th, 27th and 28th, 2016.

There is a post-conference Stud Farm Tour at the Poonawalla Stud Farm in Pune, a short twenty minutes by air, on Friday January 29th.
