UK jockey Ryan Moore is the recipient of the 2016 LONGINES WORLD’S BEST JOCKEY award and victories by the leading jockey in Asian Racing Federation Group 1 races played their part in Moore’s success.

For the 2015-2016 season, Moore’s victories in the LONGINES Hong Kong Mile, LONGINES Hong Kong Vase, Dubai Turf and Japan’s Tenno Sho (Autumn) were alongside his wins in the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes, Sussex Stakes, Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and Queen Elizabeth II Stakes.

Moore also recorded nine second place finishes and four third place finishes earning 166 points, the most among all jockeys worldwide.

This is the third year that The International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA) and LONGINES have honoured jockeys for the best performances in the world’s highest-rated races based upon performances in the 100 highest-rated Group 1 and Grade 1 races.

The International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA) and LONGINES congratulated Moore for his notable achievement.

Moore will be honoured for his 2016 LONGINES WORLD’S BEST JOCKEY award at the gala dinner of the LONGINES Hong Kong International Races on Friday, November 9th, 2016, before the LONGINES Hong Kong International Raceday at Sha Tin on Sunday, November 11th, 2016.
