Multiple award-winning racing journalist and author, Mr Chris McGrath, will feature in a celebration of the best of racing’s literature, art and architecture at this year’s 37th Asian Racing Conference.

McGrath has long combined his deep passion for racing, and in particular the mysteries of breeding, with highly engaging writing.

Described by The Sunday Times as “one of the finest sportswriters of this generation”, McGrath is fresh from being awarded his third Racing Writer of the Year award in the UK. McGrath was recently appointed as Senior Market Columnist at the Thoroughbred Daily News, having previously been a racing journalist for The Times, The Independent and serving as Bloodstock Editor at the Racing Post.

McGrath’s debut book, “Mr Darley’s Arabian”, was shortlisted for the 2016 William Hill Sports Book of the Year. The work traces over three centuries of history and stories which followed from the purchase by Mr Thomas Darley of an Arabian colt in 1704.

McGrath will bring his decorated career in racing, and racing journalism, to Seoul as he presents on “Mr Darley’s Arabian”, and joins in discussion on the best aspects of racing’s literature and arts.
